This is where student to go use our library services, as well as get ICT support for their laptops.
The space is available to students before and after school, as well as during recess and lunch. It gives students an opportunity to join in the College’s reading culture which is driven by the junior reading classes within the English learning area. The Library staff support the development of Information literacy and research skills in collaboration with classroom teachers.
There are also quiet spaces for students to sit and enjoy their personal reading. The libraries are treated as one campus library, so we do transport books between the sites to ensure that students have access to the entire catalogue.
Our cafeterias are 5-star accreditation from ASCA, which is a not-for-profit and Australia’s leading buying group and purchasing advisor for schools and school canteens. Both sites meet the key criteria that demonstrate best outcomes for the College in quality, service, client satisfaction, financial management and risk management. The cafeterias operate a cashless system which allows parents to top up payment onto student’s ID’s cards at home, or students are able to top up at a student kiosk located around the College.
Our Cafeterias are also home to our Breakfast Clubs which operate every Wednesday before class. This gives students an opportunity to come together as a community to share breakfast.
Students at ÃÛ¶¹app will visit Garema-Dumont when they are in Years 7 – 9. Our outdoor education camps provide an enriching opportunity for students to try new experiences, and to also get to know their classmates as well.
On-site facilities include a dining hall and kitchen, amenities with toilets and hot showers as well as a barbeque and campfire area. This allows our staff and students to enjoy the outdoors with comfortable amenities available too.
The Moorabool River provides opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, rafting and swimming. The property also has high and low ropes courses, a rock-climbing tower, archery field, bush tucker garden as well as a range of mountain biking tracks.
Garema-Dumont hosts a large range of wildlife including koalas, sugar gliders, echidnas, kangaroos, kookaburras, wedge tailed eagles and platypus. As a sustainable facility Garema-Dumont produces renewable energy through wind and solar power and promotes minimal impact practices.
The centre offers a 6-lane pool where the College has priority scheduling for students’ physical education classes, lessons and swimming competitions. As part of our Sports Program, students in Year 7 will participate in the swimming program aiming to teach students lifelong skills about water safety.
Featuring a digital whiteboard and AV projection it’s a great space for various events.
The venue seats over 800 guests and is also available for hire to the community. For external parties wishing to use the space, enquiries and bookings can be made by emailing email@example.com
The Kitchenette also gives a space for our Senior students to take a break and enjoy some time with their peers.
Designed by leading Melbourne-based architects Branch Studios Architects, the St Madeleine Centre transformed the former site into more than 1400m2 of state-of-art space over two-stories for the school’s creative programs. The stunning building is an exciting hub for collaboration and inspiration from a variety of arts including drama, dance, music and visual arts.
Students can use this space for their classes and various co-curricular activities, and it also provides a wonderful event space for us to use as a community.
